Founder and CEO of Old Dutch Homes Vern Steury, comes from a long line of carpenters and builders spanning three generations. Because of this, Vern has established a strong foundation in the custom home building industry. When Vern was about 25 years old, he started his own framing crew and framed houses by the square foot for different builders for a few years. By the time Vern was 28, he was ready for a more interesting challenge, so he built his first house. It was the next logical step. At that time, Vern stated that he did most of the labor himself and by doing so he completely understands what goes into each step of building a quality custom home.

Vern stated that the best part of being a builder is, “I really enjoy doing what I’m doing and I’m proud of the quality of the homes I build”.

Founded in 1978, Old Dutch Homes has been serving its new homeowners for more than 26 years. Hundreds of satisfied clients and Vern Steury’s commitment to excellence has been the driving force behind Old Dutch Home’s growing success.
